How to choose an Android POS terminal
Single screen or dual screen?
A single screen is the simplest and cheapest layout: one 15.6-inch touchscreen for staff. A dual screen model adds a second, customer-facing display (10.1-inch or 15.6-inch) that shows the order and total, which customers like for accuracy and which can carry offers. Some dual screen versions add a touch panel to the customer display so people can tip or enter details themselves.
Do you need a built-in receipt printer?
The Printer models put a 58mm or 80mm receipt printer inside the terminal, so there is one unit, one power lead and no printer to pair. 80mm is the standard till-receipt width and suits restaurants and takeaways. 58mm is more compact for small counters.
Google Play (GMS) or not?
Versions marked GMS or Google Play include Google Mobile Services, so apps can be installed from the Play Store. Versions without it have no Google Play pre-installed and suit POS software that is loaded directly onto the terminal. If you are not sure which your software needs, ask the software supplier before you order.
How much memory do you need?
Most counters run well on 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage. Choose 8GB and 128GB if you run several apps at once, keep a large menu or product catalogue on the device, or want headroom for the next few years of software updates.
Which Swan range is newest?
The Swan 3 and Swan 3 Pro are the newest designs, both on Android 15, with a brighter 350-nit Full HD screen and USB 3.0. The Swan 2 Pro is also Android 15. The Swan 1 Pro and Swan 2 are on Android 13. The Swan 3 Pro has the fastest processor and Wi-Fi 6E.

Android POS terminal FAQs
How much does an Android POS terminal cost in the UK?
Posso sells 53 iMin Swan Android POS terminals from £358.50 to £1,477.50 including VAT. A single screen Swan 2 is the lowest-priced; dual screen, built-in printer, 8GB memory and the Swan 3 Pro cost more. Delivery is £11.94 per terminal.
Are the prices on the Posso shop inclusive of VAT?
Yes. The headline price on every product includes 20% UK VAT, and the price before VAT is shown underneath for business buyers. You receive a VAT invoice with every order.
Which Android POS terminal is best for a restaurant, café or takeaway?
For a restaurant or takeaway, a Printer model with an 80mm built-in printer keeps the till and receipts in one unit, and a dual screen version lets customers check their order. For a small café or shop with a separate printer, a single screen Swan 2 is the lowest-cost route. Call 0808 175 3956 and we will help you pick.
Does the terminal come with POS software?
No. These are Android hardware terminals. You install your own POS software, so check that it supports Android and the peripherals you plan to use before you order. Call us if you need help choosing software for your business.
Can I connect a cash drawer, barcode scanner and card reader?
Yes. The terminals have RJ11 and RJ12 ports for a cash drawer, USB ports for barcode scanners and card readers, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Each product page lists the ports for that range.
Do the terminals have GTIN barcodes and part numbers?
Every listing shows the manufacturer part number. iMin does not publish a GTIN (EAN) barcode for these terminals, so we list the brand and part number instead of inventing one.
How long is delivery, and what is the warranty?
Terminals held in UK stock are dispatched within 1 to 3 working days. Others are held by the manufacturer and available within 21 days; we confirm the dispatch date after your order. UK delivery is £11.94 per terminal. Each terminal has a 1-year warranty and 21-day returns on unused items.
UK mainland delivery, priced per item and shown before you pay.
21-day returns on unused items in their original packaging.
Secure card payment through Stripe. VAT invoice with every order.
